Netherlands-based folk metalers Heidevolk have revealed the artwork for their forthcoming album "Uit Oude Grond".
The band recently issued the following update in regards to Uit Oude Grond ("From Old Soil"):
"March 26th, Heidevolk's new album, Uit Oude Grond, will be released by Napalm Records. After all the hard work we're eager see it unleashed, and to ease the waiting we have posted a new track from the upcoming album on our MySpace. It’s called "Nehalennia" and will give you a taste of things to come!
The official release party will be held April 2nd at LuxorLive in Heidevolks hometown of Arnhem. Joining us this special night will be XIV DARK CENTURIES and GRIMM."
Uit Oude Grond ("From Old Soil") features eleven songs telling different stories of myth and legend from Gelderland and beyond. These stories from old soil are captured in raging metal songs as well as folky tunes.

Heidevolk Begins Recording New Album
Dutch folk metal six-piece Heidevolk has entered S&K Studio in Doetinchem, Holland with Dick Kemper to begin recoding the band's new album for an early 2010 release. 11 songs are being laid down during the sessions "ranging from epic and solemn folk tunes to brutal and merciless metal riffs," according to a press release.
Heidevolk's last album, "Walhalla Wacht", was released in 2008 via Napalm Records.
According to the band's official bio, Heidevolk's music "can best be described as pounding and blistering metal combined with epic and melodic folk music. The band features two clean vocalists and incorporates folk instruments such as mouth harp, violin and blowing horns in its songs. All songs are in their native tongue." Source: DarkSide.ru
